This is a popular route between North Western France and Ireland and offers a fantastic opportunity to travel to the heart of both of these countries.
There are other routes available between these two countries but some require a change in ferries part way through your trip. This can be a good thing but if you want a direct route from Rosslare to Cherbourg then Stena Line is the only operator to offer this route.
This is the easiest way to travel and with no luggage limits and the options to take your pets and your vehicles is the obvious choice!
You can travel between these two countries with a vehicle from just £165! This is amongst the lowest ferry fares available between Ireland and France!
Foot passengers can also take this option as an affordable and more comfortable solution than a flight and costs start at £60 per person on a one-way basis or £120 return
There are three crossings per week available for you to choose from and each crossing takes around 18 – 20 hours dependent on the route and conditions.
While you are on board you can make the most of your cabin to rest in and then enjoy the lounge areas, many food and drink options and of course the shopping and children’s facilities available to you.
If that wasn’t enough you can also enjoy free movies and wifi!
If you want a direct route between these two countries then this is one of the best options for you to choose.
Other routes are available and routes using other ferry operators are available but these have a ferry change part-way through the journey.
Obviously, the most direct route with no changes is the best option for many people which is what makes this such a great choice.
For those travelling from the furthest South areas of Ireland this is an obvious choice as it is far closer than a trip to Dublin to make the journey from there.
Rosslare is easily reached by car, train and coach making it a great option to either arrive at or depart from and with the beauty of Southern Ireland on its doorstep.
