You don’t have to, you could book a reclining seat instead but it is definitely recommended on longer ferry trips that you book yourself a cabin to retire to when you would like to rest and to have some privacy.
How long is the crossing?
Crossings take between 18 and 20 hours depending on the crossing you choose. You have three crossings to choose from a week.
